Pop my .243 is setup with a Bushnell elite 3200 Tatical scope 5-15 with turret knobs and mil dot, very versitle I can range and dial if I have the time with hung up coyotes or use the mil dot referance which is much quicker range and use mild dot hold over and windage. It has a harris bi pod and...

Thanks I hope you all enjoy, that sunset picture only lasted like that for 15 mins outside of that it wouldn't have looked like it did! Coyotes are what keeps me going! They are a challange at times can make a guy look bad and I always learn something from them. The purest survivor in my book!

Here is a few of my better big game critters all with nosler

Pop these all fell with a 25-06 remington SP SS,110 grain accu bond the muley at 80 yards, the whitetail at 430 yards and the antelope buck at 530 yards, those accu bonds just anchor them well. The goat as you can see the exit hole I don't know at that range I must have deflected off a rib...

Question for POP or others on .243 load

Understood and I don't like max loads but I will say your program and my cronograph have been very, very close! You must have a good program there POP! The most varinace I have seen from a load is 30 FPS compaired to your program! Much closer than most loading manuals for sure!

Question for nosler guys on bullet jackets?

Thanks Nosler4 I hope we hear some good news as I feel this would be a great addition for many coyote hunters and for nosler to add sales and be the first to cater to the coyote calling/hunting market! I would be happy to test any of these new jacketed bullets if this comes to see the light of...

    What is your dream Hunt?

to call in a timber wolf in either Canada or Alaska with my caller and get a big male above 120lbs not a black but a nice coyote colored wolf! I would use my 25-06 and 110 accu bonds! Second to call in and shoot a black hyena a big sucker! I hear they have the most powderful jaws of about any...

Question for POP or others on .243 load

Thanks guys but looking at faster powders such as varget and 4895 with an 90 grain bullet I don't think I can hit 3050 and have a decent load density? Who knows maybe it would be accurate? I use 37.5 varget with the 80 grain bal tips and I get 3,100 fps, that is a load density of 78%, it works...

Question for nosler guys on bullet jackets?

Not a fan of barnes bullets! I haven't tried the sierra bullets either ,I like the nolser bal tips they do the job well for the most part but could be improved on with a thicker jacket! I get excellent groups with these bullets at 1 " or less at 200 yards! My preferance for 22-250 is the...

Question for POP or others on .243 load

Could anyone tell me of a powder that I can get a legit 3,000-3,050 FPS out of a 26" barreled rem rifle? I have tried h-4831SC very accurate but I get 2930 FPS, anyone know of a powder without maxing it out to get this range out of a 90 grain bal tip? I would like it to shoot some flatter and at...

Question for nosler guys on bullet jackets?

The 90 is one with the heavier jacket and I like it but I get better performance from the 80 as far as FPS and trajectory goes. The marketing idea could be take the 80 grain bal tip use the thicker jacket, throw a coyote on the box and print advertising finally a 6mm bullet designed for coyote...

Question for nosler guys on bullet jackets?

I was wondering on bullet jacket thickness, on the 6mm 80 grain Bal tip how hard of a change would it be to bump this up from the thinner varmint jacket to the thicker hunting jacket? I geel this bullet I use alot in my .243 could be made even a better bullet if if where put into the game...

    NBT's 25-06

Shot placement would be key on something like a larger bear and a BT, hit bone and have that bullet in the "SOUPED" up range and hit bone you could be tracking a bear for awhile!!!! I'm no bear guru but I know with a .257 bullet I wouldn't be trying 400 yard shots on bear, for "ME" that is too...

    I give to you...

Ok if I would try these bullets what do you recommend as starting points for powder? I use 90 grain bal tips now and they really like H-4831 SC at 43.5 grains where should I be when starting to load for these e-tip bullets? What is max? Is velocity slower with these bullets? Thank You.

    243 95 grain BT?

Pop I used 43.5 grains H-4831 sc and they shoot at 2930 fps and grouped nice, 43 grains shot at 2890 fps average but didn't group quite as well as adding that .5 grain. This is from a 26" barreled remington SPS varmint .243 for what it's worth. All loaded up in nosler brass.
