    Another .308

I agree. About the only thing holding me back is that I 've been thinning the herd.

    Another .308

I resisted owning a 30-06 for years. They were just too pedestrian, too common. I sold them as an ideal "do everything" cartridge to many people, but I wanted something different. And the 308 was equated with the '06. While I did eventually get an '06 (a handsome Featherweight), just never...

    Another .308

Never owned a 308. When I built my last rifle, I thought about building a 308, but a 358 Norma Magnum won my heart. They're pretty similar, I think. Both start with a three and end with an eight.

    What was I thinking?

Excellent purchase, Dan. I worked up loads for a couple of rifles chambered in that cartridge some years back. Seems as if it was easy to find a load that satisfied the clients. It is a cartridge that I wouldn't mind toting here i Northern BC.

    Grizzly Attacks Bowhunters:

I do know this from experience, such large animals can move surprisingly quietly. You don't always hear any "huffing" or stomping of the front paws.

    Grizzly Attacks Bowhunters:

The danger is part of the reason we hunt bears. However, they are atop the food chain, and that means that hunters must never forget the danger when hunting in bear territory.

    300 win mag Question

Candidly, you'll never get "full potential" out of a firing system. There is continual room for improvement as barrel wear progresses, as the throat erodes, as components are altered slightly. If you have a load that consistently puts your shots into the vitals of game at the yardage required...
