It has run longer and heated higher than what it was at when it cut off. Hornady asked the same question about overheating. The magnum will clean cases spotless using the Hornady solution and 30 to 40 minutes. Still waiting on Hornady to help me out.
I purchased the Hornady Magnum Sonic Cleaner as soon as it was available this year. The first few times I used it I fell in love with it. Does a wonderful job of cleaning brass and the wife's jewelery. But the past two times I tried to use it it just stopped. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have tried the following combinations. None of them have shot less than 1" at 100 yards.
35 grains Varget, CCI BR 2 primers, 50 grain Nosler Baliistic Tips, once fired neck sized Hornady brass
34.9 grains RL 15, CCI BR 2primers, 52 grain Sierra BTHP, New Lapua brass neck sized
34.9 grains...
I am trying to work up an accurate load for Remington Model 7 in 22-250 but I am not having much luck. I have been using 50 grain Nosler ballistic tips and 52 grain Sierra HPBT with a variety of powders and Lapua brass. I am not having much luck. Anyone have any suggestions?
The problem is I can not get a proper reading using this tool. I am trying to find out what I need to do to get this tool to work for me. I think I am going to order the Sinclair tool. I have read that it is much better.
52 grain Sierra Matchking HPBT. This problem occurs in two different guns. One a Model 700 and the other a Model 7. Neither one of them has more than 75 rounds through them.
I still get the same results. This tool must take more skill than I possess. I ended up using fired brass with the end crimped to hold the bullet. This being said, I still end up seating the bullet only .164 (to the lands). What is the minimum depth you should seat a bullet? This is a 22-250.
I have been trying to use the Hornady OAL gauge to check the distance to the lands for bullet seating. The problem is every time it shows that the bullet is completely out of the case. What am I doing wrong?
Anyone have any tips for lighting for a Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital? When I shoot off of my bench in the evening there is a shadow over my chronograph. I can't get a reading.
I am looking to upgrading to an ultrasonic cleaner and was wondering if anyone has used the Grafs ultrasonic cleaner? Does anyone know when the Hornady Magnum ultrasonic cleaner is going to come out?
I am wanting to build a .375 Cheytac. I am thinking of using a Lawton 8500 action, Russo laminate stock (color undecided), and a Jewell trigger. My only problem is what barrel should I use?
I will be shooting crows and a variety of 4 legged predators. Range will be from 100 yards to 300 yards max. And maybe an occasional head shots on hogs.
