Went and shot the 270 at 300 yards today getting ready for the antelope trip this weekend, turned out alright.
The lowest shot was out of a cold clean bore then the next three grouped above.
Load is 59.2gr H4831 140 AB loaded as long as the magazine in my Tikka will allow.
If I miss anything I...
for my hunting only rifles I just keep brass lots together. If I am trying to get everything I can out of the rifle I weigh it to +/- .5gr, it seems to make a difference even if small.
I understand it to change pressure because of the different internal volume of the case, assuming the...
according to a magazine article I read last month the fusions should be out along with some new designs for Speer early next year.
dubyman: when did you talk to Federal
The three screw with the half cock is so much nicer, the cylinders actually line up with the loading gate, as soon as I can find a three screw 41mag with at least a 6.5" barrel I'll be in heaven.
That's the gun I've been looking at for a little while, I'm thinking a lighter gun in 257 would be a great antelope rifle. The SPS is also a decent amount cheaper then the other two also.
Ditto on what Boresighter said, I'm at the max my magazine will hold and haven't had any problems in my M77. Just make sure you work your way up toward the upper loads.
I've got the .41 mag tracker, 4 inch barrel.
I absolutely love the gun, extremely reliable and very comfortable to shoot.
As for accuracy, its better then I am, so not much info there.

I load my 300 mag Ruger M77 to the max for the magazine, which is like 3.345, so not much over saami max.
I get great velocity and acceptable hunting accuracy with the 180gr AB, consistently 1 moa with R22 in R-P brass.
I load my dads 300 mag to the same length with the 200gr AB because of the...
Now it's not all right, you put the 180gr .308 Accubond on the sale a couple days after i ordered 3 bags of them.
Any idea when you might get more of the 500 pack 69gr .224 Custom Competition Seconds in stock, I'll have to make another order when you do. and get more accubonds if...
Not quite sure about bullet performance, wound channel was very short and massive.
Hopefully within the next two weeks I'll have mulie pictures for ya all too. I almost stepped on a big 3x3 when I was out yesterday.
got my first kill with the 180 AB out of the 300winmag for my handloads.
Grouse at 15ft, took the head clean off.
I'll have pics as soon as i shoot a deer to use the rest of the camera up.
Okay, i won't worry about the unburnt powder then, if it seems to be normal.
I might have to try the XTP's or Gold Dots, sounds like they probably shoot about the same as the Noslers, and are easier to find around here.
Any chance Nosler is going to come out with a Partition HG for the .41?
I shot some new loads today out of my Taurus Tracker .41mag, got good groupings for me, so I'm happy about that.
My question is whether or not having a lot of unburned powder is common for 2400?
I loaded from 14gr to 18gr, and all the way through the spectrum there was unburned powder in the...
