    quickload please

I Lived in Lawrence for a little over 10 years, but just moved back to North Central Kansas where my wife and I grew up. Tons of family farmland to hunt everyday living here versus a few weeks a year living 3 hours away. As far as velocities, I assume a tad over 3000, but I do not have a chrony...

    quickload please

I haven't yet had the accuracy I was hoping for. May try some Scirrocos. Accubonds shoot great in my other rifles I load them in ,but can't get this rifle to shoot much less than an inch. Thanks again for the quickload Dr Mike. I'm currently torn between 75.5 gr, 76.0, and 76.5. All 3 charges...

    quickload please

I was wandering if anyone could get me some quickload data for a 300 win mag with 180gr. accubonds. Currently using rl22 but considering 4831 and maybe mag pro. Thanks CJ

    neck tension

I found a small dab of crap on my shellholder which didn't allow the case to be fully seated in the die. Cleaned it and tried a few cases. All is well. Got worried for nothing. CJ

    neck tension

I have been developing loads in my 300 Win mag and after finding the sweet spot, I started pulling bullets from leftover rounds. It takes very little effort to remove them, versus my 30/06 and .243 which take considerable force. How much tension is too little? I must say I am concerned about the...

    Accurate Mag Pro

I've been using 76.7 gr. of rl-22 for a while now, but have been considering trying something else. CJ

    Accurate Mag Pro

Anyone used the Accurate Magpro powder? I am considering using it in my 300 win mag pushing 180 gr. bullets. I like how it is made in the good ole USA. CJ

    RE-22 Temp Sensitive?

I had a noticed velocity change of almost 80 fps last year when the temps dropped into the 20's versus the 70's when my loads were developed in my 300 winny using 76gr of RL22 and 180gr Accubonds. I emailed Alliant when I saw their new Power Pro powders to see if they were less sensitive. The...

    I made a rookie mistake

If you can get the necksizing/decapping spindle from the die and case, get some Locktite freeze and release spray. It sprays out at -40 degrees and the case will temporarily shrink and fall out of the die. CJ

    Odd problem with brass

I had the same issue with 243. Had to use small base die. CJ

    300 win mag

I have considered IMR 4350 too. I have a ton of it considering I use it in most other calibers I load. I will probably get me some H1000 just for the fun of it since I've never used it and see what happens. CJ

    300 win mag

I have been using RL-22 in my 300 for some time but am thinking of trying another powder just for fun. Anyone know anything about Alliant's 4000 MR? Less temp sensitive than RL-22? I'm impressed with the listed velocity. 3100 fps with 180gr. bullet. Also considering H-1000. I typically load...

    300 win mag

Dr. Mike, I'm sure I will be pleased with the accubonds, but would like to try something else. I just like developing new loads and playing in the off season. By the way, I spent the first 25 years in North Central Kansas about an hour North West of Salina and now am in Eastern Kansas. Woods...

    300 win mag

I just purchased a 300 win mag. I have been thinking of trying the Barnes Tipped TSX bullets. Does anyone have any load data available for this combination of 180gr. bullet with RL-22 or IMR-4350? I'm also curious about the accuracy of these. What about extended range bullet ? (MRX?) I've had...
