Agreed with all the above - If I'd have known years ago when my 22-250 was rebarreled, I'd have gone with a faster twist than the 1-14. I use 55gr B-tips & B-Kings with great success.
You're on the right track - the heavier bullets out of the -250's are definatly the ticket for yotes.
I have a 700 VTR in .223 - somewhat close to the tactical version short of the plastic fantastic stock and tri-angle barrel.
With that said - hmmmmmmm - It's a handy carry rifle is all I can say.
Yep - the 22-250 is one fine round.
Your trigger will adjust up quite nicely - not sure how pillars will work with that stock ? I've played with a .223 700 VTR and am just going to throw in the towel and re-stock it.
My 22-250 has shot decent with about anything, but have settled on Viht...
I see pretty much one thing in common here -
We've ALL done it and if we handload a lot, its happened more than once !
Consensus - purchase the removal kit.
1. It makes short order of the issue at hand without damaging anything.
2. One can never have too many tools.
3. You'll...

Mine has always like the 180's better than the 200's
I've settled on IMR-7828, 180gr AB's, Nosler Brass & Fed Primers.
A max charge of Retumbo from the Nosler Manual gives me a severely sticky bolt.
+1 with 257
I haven't played with many 120 grainers, but as 257 Ackley mentioned I've had good luck with H414 and the 130's
N-560 gave me some incredible speed and accuracy as well. I just recently started to revisit the RL-19.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

That is some fantastic news with the .280. Definately a round eveyone needs in their safe.
The good ole M7's -
Not sure why Remington couldn't have made a little faster twist - My opinion only, but think the 100 - 130's seem to shoot best. I've always had great accuracy with the...
I have a couple of the Alaskan Guide models - or I did.
The 4 - 12 model lost the adjustment capability. The scope was roughly
4yrs old if I remember correctly. I called Cabela's requesting information on
having it repaired.
Knowing it wasn't a Leupy I wasn't expecting anything...
My RUM likes the 180's better than the 200's
There isn't an animal on this continent that would walk away from a well placed shot from
that rifle & a 180gr "premium" bullet.
Mike -
A couple of fine looking rifles AND Calibers you have there.
I have no doubt the .280 will be a shooter. The M7..... I'm sure
you will get-er dialed in as well. The 130AB out of that is a
get it done bullet.
As Dr. Mike stated, stock design has a lot to do with this as well. I personally am not a fan
of big recoil and own several rifles that I have installed brakes on. With that said, muffs are a definate MUST ! I have pretty much quit hunting with my .280 due to that. The second brake I have is...

Congrats on the new Leupy -
However, I don't see this as much of a delima as one might think.
Nothing a quick trip to the local sporting goods store or gun show wouldn't resolve.........

Nice job Sir -
Can't believe POP is in the middle of yote heaven and hasn't turned one of those big boomers loose on one yet.
I can see coyotes exploding like prarie dogs POP
