I found the same thing with my rem 700 264 wm cdl. I took it to ken Wyatt and had him lengthen the throat. it really wasn't that much and he didn't take him to long to do it.

out of the choices listed I would like to see the 358 200 gn and the 45-70 part. but make it 350-375 grns over the 300 grn.

I like HS6 and ramshot true blue I cast 255 and 290 grn bullets. I havent found a great load for the 290 grn yet. I have played with lilgun with it.

went with a egw mount( http://egw-guns.com/store/index.php?mai ... cts_id=254 ) Thought it would be handy to be able to place rings where ever I want. As for rings probably wait tell scope shows up and then see what sportsman warehouse has. Thinkin a leopold weaver mount type for rings.

the 45-70 is awesome- its fun to shoot, kills critters good- and easy to reload. Plus I cast ranchdog 350 gc bullets- weigh about 362 made of wheel weights and are super accurate-took a nice blacktail with that bullet in my contender last year. I need to come up with a good elk load.

Has anyone used a EGW mount?

I'm going to be mounting a low powered scope on my guide gun on the receiver, just wondering any recommendations on mounts. I was thinking of just going with Leupold dual dovetail since I have a set of low rings. But if there is something neato out there let me know.
