Boy, I thought I was going heavy with 162 gr. What’s your goal on going really heavy? P

Yeah but now I’m serious about it. Plus I’m skeptical of the Hunter data. Nosler lists 49 gr as a max load for their 160 gr bullets, the Quickload data topped out at 46.

I’m thinking about a winter project of working up a 162 Eldx load for my spare Tikka 7mm-08. She shoots the 150 eldx very well, 2790 fps at the muzzle. She’s the spare and I rarely shoot her, so why not test a new load, I have plenty of components. Remington brass, WLRM, and I can load really...

I passed on him last year during archery. Too tough, probably couldn’t have put a fork in the gravy. Took a 2 year old 4x4, delicious.

I have quantities of R-P head stamp brass I measure by the pound. No worries there. Powder and bullets out the ying, so to speak. Primers are my weak spot.

I shoot a lot of .223, I’m down to my last 2k, starting to get nervous. WLR/WLRM I’m well stocked. P

For me it’s a question of good vs. better. I did a primer test in two 7mm-08 rifles. Same load (Big Game with 120 BT), each rifle had 3 rounds of CCI200 and WLRM, so four three-shot groups total. Each shot was chronographed as well. The WLRM gave me close to 75 more fps and slightly tighter...

Small rifle Primers are still like hen’s teeth near me, Harrisburg, Oregon.

I’ll always have at least one .30-06, currently have three, but I find I reach more for the 7mm-08 for deer and elk.

Reloader 26 is the bee’s knees for me with 160 gr AB or PT and 162 eldx.
