What game are you wanting to hunt? Do you have the bullets you listed or are you simply contemplating that brand/style? I cast my own. As several of us have stated, thats the way to go for a hunting bullet. The.500 and the .41 would be my choice for hunting.
Same thing here. Come breeding season the gobblers disperse to their leks to attract and breed hens.

I love my M29 too! Have had good results with AA#9 under a Kieth 215 Grain Lyman. Took a huge Razorback with it. After I hit the shoulder, He turned and came at me. I emptied the clyinder via double actIon to stop him. Fun times !

I took a large buck broad side at 40 yds. 130 tip in my .270 clocks at 3,240. It exited. My friend hit a small doe about 80 yds. quartering to him. A 165 tip in the 30-06 flattened the deer but lost the core in the process. Velocity was 2,700 FPS . Hit more bone in the wouund chanel.

It would be a 300 grain in the .44. Also keep in mind that frontal area adds to the killing power of handgun bullet. In addition, A Blackhawk can push a 300 grain @1,200 FPS. More penetration and bigger wound channel.
Way under gunned. This minimalist nonsense needs to stop. Respect our game animals and pack a .44 mag , .454 Casual with heavy, stoutly constructed bullets.
The very early production XTP bullets did not expand well at handgun velocities. We stuck with the Kieth style cast bullets with great success. Things have improved obviously.
Big business, i.e. box stores...Wallyworld, Lowes, AutoZone, etc. It's all from Asia. China primarily. I bought $900 fly rods from US companies, just like you did Danner boots. Good quality! It's a very small percentage of consumer expenditure. Quality is not paramount for the most companies...

Where you and I shop is irrelevant. Point is Most US business buy from China. Wellywood is likely the largest retailer in the country. Its good that you buy from US suppliers. Big business could care less.
