We think a lot alike. 6.5's are great whitetail medicine, Accubonds are definitely awesome and the 35 Whelen is just about the coolest cartridge ever invented. LoL.
This was pulled from my whity this fall. It is a 168 grn 7mm LR Accubond from a Max load of hunter in a 7mm Mag. Velocity unknown. Not a Text book shot placement but you may find it interesting. Shot hit just above the tail on a straight away shot I cant remember the exact distance but it was...
I'm in the process of load development for my new 7mm and deep curls are on the list. So far I've tried 168grn LR Accubonds and they didn't shoot well at all but Hornady Interlocks (162 grn) shot awesome. I'd like a little something more than a plain cup and core bullet though, I've got...
Idaho spring bear
Wyoming Antelope
Washington Whitetail
Washington spike elk
All were taken with a Tikka T3 lite 7mm mag with nosler Accubond LR's except the bear, it was taken with 140 grain partition
I've shot a lot of coyotes with that load and it works great unless you hit bone. If you do it's gonna splash bad...........Reall Bad. I think it's a good choice but there are better choices to be had. My favorite out of my .223 and 22-250 are 52 grn match hollow points.
I don't usually gush over rifles much. I have a bunch, some I love and some are just tools. But I absolutely LOVE my Tikka T3. I do a lot of coyote hunting and I'm alwasy looking for that perfect calling rifle. I bought a T3 lite in .243 last year and I do believe this to be the perfect calling...
Here's a few. Only have one bullet recovery though. These are all 2010 season pics but My daughters and I have taken quite a few deer with the 260. 6 or 7 I suppose.
This years loads were all with 130 grn accubond at 2800 fps.
The recovered bullet was actually a pass through but it lodged in a...
The last few days have been great. Very cold and perfect for calling. Went out with a buddy a couple days ago and I called in a double on the first set but my friend got the fever and missed them both. Well, he nicked one. It yipped a bit but we tracked it in the snow and it was barely hit and...
