    Thanks jmad_81 that's the same twist as or close to the 1:9.125 in my sons Rem. VTR. Was thinking the twist was a little fast for the55gr. and would have to use the 70gr. bt but I think we'll give the 55's a try. have you tried any of the Hornady V-max. Best Alan

    30-338 witch of the Wyatt's mags. are most going for the MBE-4 or CFE-5 My smith would like to try one there harder to get up here Wyatt had a license issue but sure that's been taken care of so any suggestion a big help. Thanks Alan

    Have you tried seating less then 2.86 My son's 700 shoots 150bts at COL of 2.860 at .030 off the rifling's but his OAL to the rifling's is only 2.890 with 150gr. BTs. Best Alan ; PS. I would have on problem seating deeper or adding a shim as a pressure point at the end of the stock just to try.

    Seems like every one is getting guns out a ready for them there varmints Now I'm looking had at H414 (W760) it will or look like it will work in the 300WSM and 300RSAUM just in case the 243 doesn't.     4350 seems to be be coming out on top I think I'll try it in the H type and give some RS Big Game a try to as soon as the weather warms a bit.     Thanks guy's JD338 IMR 4895 is a good old stand by the load sounds good, 30-338 I've been using H4350 in some other rifles may try working a load up with it have to find a starting load .the Ramshot I may try is Big Game has a burn rate right around RL15. Thanks for now Alan

    Kimber on Monday going to let the smith have a look. Pop have my brother looking for Factory loads in Calgary today and thanks for the quick load data. 30-338 the OAL is 2.80 with the 180s and well off the lands .     JD338 if it was the firing pin spring would the bolt lift not stay the same it did get stiffer with the 180s. Factory loads I will try ones I get to a city to pick some up not available close. Thanks Alan.

    Desert primers look fine. New Ced chrono Monday hopefully and chamber seems smooth to my eye but the local smith will be home from hunt trip Monday to. And I only have a stiff bolt lift the cases extract no problem. Thanks Alan

    Has any one had this happen? I loaded some what I thought were light loads to do a barrel breakin on my Rem. BDL SS 300 SAUM. The load was 130gr. sp Hornady over 53.5gr.     Antelope_ sniper Hornady book #7 130 gr. interbond 62gr. H4831 it works good in my 270win. But only with Hornady 130s most likely hot for others Alan.
