It appears that I have "double posted" this topic somehow. I am so sorry.
Anyway, I have only handloaded for this rifle. I can't see spending $60-$80/box for ammo. Not when I can make good loads on my own.
Load is 200 grain Accubond, Winchester brass, WLRM primer and RS Big Game powder...
Been a tough hunt for me this winter finding success. I had all but given up, but yesterday I pulled myself off the couch and made to 1 hour drive to my unit and went after my cow elk.
Typically, I end up hiking for 5-9 miles round trip to get into the elk and get one out. We always wait...

Easy choice for me. I only have three rifles so I would take them.
Tikka T3 Lite in 7-08 with 140 Nosler Accubonds
Winchester Model 70 with match grade 7mm Rem Mag Shillen barrel cut at 26" with 175 ABLR
Kimber Montana 325 WSM with 200 grain Accubonds.
Yep, I am pretty happy with those three...
I have been seeing consistent and excellent accuracy with IMR7828ssc, cci250 primers and Nosler brass. I was dialing my turret and hitting targets to 700 just a week ago. Really pleased and look forward to seeing how they perform on elk.
So I just picked up some SPS seconds in .284 175 ABLR. Was surprised to learn I had ordered some with a cannelure. Any reason to expect the need of a different load combination? How about added drag or effect on the flight of the bullet?
The cannelure doesn't line up to where I seat the...
I love my Kimber Montana in this underrated cartridge. Unfortunately, I haven't had many opportunities to hunt with it yet, but the one chance she had, proved herself perfectly. One shot at a cow elk from 330 yards with my hand loaded 200 grain Accubond and my hunt was over.
It shows an...
So my little package arrived from UPS today. I am now anxious to begin load development for my 325 wsm. Anyone have the ability to run some quick load data for me? I am shooting a Kimber Montana with Winchester brass and I am looking for data with RE17, IMR4007ssc, H4350, and Ramshot Big...
Wild gene, I want to shoot some 220 Sierras in my 325 wsm, but haven't been able to find them locally. Based on this topic, I ordered some from Powder Valley tonight.
The swift bullet seems like a good idea, but I have a 7mm Mag for those "light" bullets  I bought my 325 to be an elk...
My Kimber has shown quite the affinity toward the 200 grain Accubond. Seems to really like Ramshot Big Game for about 2900 fps. IMR 4007 ssc and Reloader 17 really show promise too. Good luck.
Still holding out for a nice 220 grain Accubond or similar though. Should would like to try them.
Fh
I tried these for the first time on Saturday. I loaded them with both Retumbo and IMR 7828ssc from my 7 mm rem mag. Both showed promise. Particularly the 7828 loads. I'm going to load some more up and shoot them over the chrony next. Sexy looking round for sure though.
My son was a bit overwhelmed with the responses to my post. Thank you for making this young man feel great.
He is readying the jerky racks as we speak for the last of the ground elk jerky. Yummy!
My brother gave me a shirt a few years ago with a deer hunter on the back. The caption reads, "You see a cute little deer, I see a delicious set of steaks wrapped up in a nice leather jacket". That picture suggests ALOT of steaks and leather jackets. Way cool to see large groups like that...
What an amazing year my oldest son had this year. He earned his first rifle as an incentive to earn his Eagle Scout award. He chose a rifle in 7mm-08 Rem and I surprised him with a nice little Browning Abolt II and installed the timney trigger spring. We developed a couple really accurate...
