So I just picked up some SPS seconds in .284 175 ABLR. Was surprised to learn I had ordered some with a cannelure. Any reason to expect the need of a different load combination? How about added drag or effect on the flight of the bullet?

The cannelure doesn't line up to where I seat the bullet. I seat the bullet out as far as my magazine will allow which is a bit longer than where the cannelure is on this bullet.

Thank you!

Minimal effect on BC, not enough to notice....no more than the rifling.

The load should be the same...

Those were .most likely run for 28 Nosler ammunition.
They will shoot fine.

I also have some and contacted Nosler direct, with the same question. They told me as ridgerunner says, they were built to be loaded in a commercial cartridge. They should shoot identically the same as the others.
