hams and boned out shoulders from 3 Sows. The shoulders, or what was left from a couple, trimmed out for sausage meat.. There was a nice boar taken to, but you could smell him about 30 yards away, so he was left for the scavengers. Gave the back straps to the landowner. 4 pigs between 3 guys wasn’t anything to brag about, but definitely a nice winter escape to Alabama! The 143 hammer hunter from the 280 AI absolutely smashed the one I got. There was 3 exit holes that looked like a lamprey bite. The shank and 2 petals made it out. The hog was hit near the last rib and exited the shoulder crease on the opposite side. Ran about 10 steps, did some circles with its nose and one leg on the ground and fell Dead.

Glad you god some good cuts from the sows. I know that some of the old boars can smell pretty rank.

looks good . I've only had wild hog one time . I thought it was pretty darned tasty .

Good pile of meat to be able to use there! Never had wild boar that I recall. Hard to go wrong with good sausage.
