Fond as I am of Nosler's 95 grain Ballistic Tip hunting bullet - I just got some impressive results from the 100 grain Partition. Mounted a new scope (3.5-10x Leupold) on my son's little 6mm Remington 700 BDL. Great old rifle that's done in a couple of truckloads of game and varmints over the years. Sighted in the new scope at 200 yards - and was delighted to be averaging about 2" 3-shot groups at 200 yards with this old, much-used sporter rifle. The slender 22" barrel has several thousand rounds through it... I didn't know to keep count when I started shooting it long ago.
Winchester case, CCI 200 primers, 47.5 grains of Reloader 22 and the 100 grain Nosler Partition. Good shooting load - the best this rifle has done with the Partition bullets. I suspect the bullet will shoot just as well for anyone with a .243 Winchester. The above load was safe in our rifle - and is a half grain below the max listed in the old Nosler manual I used for reference, but it seems to be nearing maximum, please work up with caution.
Regards, Guy
