Just started loading for my 30 06. This is 150g AccuBond shot into 2.5 gallon jugs and a 5 gallon bucket laying down. Shot was about 40 yards. Muzzel velocity should be a little over 2900 haven't checked it yet. Will weigh the bullet when I get home. Expanded to .594 diameter.sorry can't get the image to load from my phone. Will try again later.

Classic performance of a fine bullet. Excellent first post. Welcome aboard.

Filll us in on other parameters too, I.e. Powder, primer etc.

Michael - I see this is your first post, and a fine one it is! Welcome to the Nosler forum. (y)

Classic AccuBond performance. Great expansion, and the bullet hangs together despite a pretty high impact speed.

Thanks for posting, and again, welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. It was 52 g of imr 4064 fed.210 primer and norma brass. Final weight was 109 grains. It passed through both 2.5 gallon jugs and into the lid of the 5 gallon bucket laying on its side. The bullet was in the 5 gallon bucket. Hope to get to chrono the load soon. It is decently accurate moa. at 100 yards.

Also shot a 165 bt with 50g of 4064 should be around 2800. Completely destroyed a 5 gallon bucket and was in the second 5 gallon bucket. The core separated. The bullet weight was 105g.

Would have been more than sufficient to take down even the largest deer. Good catch.

Very interesting! The 150gr AccuBond retains more weight at higher velocity than the heavier BT. I have a load in my 30-06 for the 150gr Accubonds that's averaging close to 1/2" groups at 3000fps out the muzzle. I will find out how they work on deer. It's going to be hard to beat the 165gr BT @ 2830fps that may be one of the most accurate hunting bullets.

Let us know how they work.

Billy, have you tried the CT Ballistic tips?

I've shot a few CT bullets and they shot well but not better than BTs. Same performance on deer too. I have a box of .270 150gr Partition Gold CT bullets that look like moly coated that didn't shoot very well in my .270 wby.

It almost seems as the AccuBond is replacing the Npartion as everyone's favorite .I have a life time supply of 150 pt for 306 and 140 pt for 7mm /08 but the 130 partion is a little heavier and tougher than I want for the 6.8 spcII I'm in the process of building for my wife so I will definitely be giving the AccuBond a try in it .

Great recovery. Either bullet should rattle any buck or bear you line up on.

After shooting 3 deer this season with the 150gr AB they seem to be doing OK on deer. Non have gone far with the last one a mature doe DRT with a high lung hit @200yds. Not enough to tell if the 150gr AB is any better on deer than the BT but they are flat shooting and hit hard. Boom, whack and a deer laying on the ground kicking. Just like I like it.
