Got outstanding performance in my 300wm this evening! 275 yards in the elbow crease.

77gr Reloder 23 at 3300fps.

I was very scared this load was too fast for a light bullet for whitetail. But he hit the dirt hard, no unnecessary meat damage.
I try to use 180 to 215gr out of my 300win mags, but this lightweight rifle was just way more accurate with 165/168gr bullets.

I've only shot a couple of raccoons with 270 cal NBT out of a 27 Nosler before today but I'm a believer.

Congratulations on a beautiful buck.
Welcome to the BT club. They kill deer hard and fast.

You definitely tagged an enviable buck. Congratulations on a beautiful animal. The rifle and load are performing just as one would wish.

Congrats on taking a beautiful buck.

I've used Accubonds with good success over the years but you BT guys have me thinking about stepping back from bonded bullets. Nosler needs a heavy .284 BT for all the new 7PRC rifles out there, mine included. LOL

Wow! Great looking buck and serious accuracy! Congrats.

I'd have been reluctant to push the Ballistic Tips that fast for game. The 165's have done a great job for me from my 30-06 at 2940 fps, but 3300? Wow! :)

My 25-06 pushes the 115 BT's to 3150 and that combo works great...

Again - congrats on some fine shooting and a great buck.

Charlie,
Nosler offers a 7mm 160 gr BT. Great bullet!

Guy,
The BT is rated to 3200 fps impact speed.
Yote stretched the barrel so his 3300 fps was below the 3200 limit at 275 yards.
Your success with BT's speaks volumes!

Congratulations on an excellent buck. Yes, shooting game with BT's will make a believer out of you. It has me.

One of my hunting partners uses that bullet in his 308 at 2700 fps. Pretty amazing that you're getting that same performance at 275 yards!

I used to think the Ballistic Tip's were a bit soft but after using them for while now they have become one of my favorite bullets.

Charlie
I've got a box of 160 BTs to try but the 7PRC is really designed around the 180 class bullets.
,
I bet you would have a screamer and it would shoot as flat as road kill. Give them a try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I like those white antlers! Nice buck. Keep those nest raider coons on the DOA list !
Ballistic tips = deer.
