Fine dining always starts with precise prep work. Looks as if the preparation has begun. So far I've got a doe and this buck in SC. Doe was shot with Browning X Bolt 2 in 7mm PRC with 154gr Interbond. Pass through and went maybe 20-30 yards with good blood trail. Buck was shot with Tikka T3x Super Varmint in 6.5 PRC with 142 ABLR. Went straight down and recovered two bullets which were posted in the testing forum. Still hunting a little more before season is up. My buddy got a doe with the same gun & load with same performance.
Ah, yes, the fruits of your labour appears on your table!Had the does tenderloins a couple weeks ago, amazing eating as always.
Nice work Mark. Congratulations on your bull.A quick thank you for those that helped with the data discrepancy I had going on with my 7PRC before season. This round hits hard! Colorado public land 4th season. This guy tested my patience and we took it right down to the end of the day before he gave me the opportunity.

Thanks man. Let the wife shoot him out the pecan trees in the backyard one morning back in NovemberCongratulations on a great buck.
How did he climb the pecan trees? Didn't know deer ate pecans. Acorns, yes; pecans, no!Thanks man. Let the wife shoot him out the pecan trees in the backyard one morning back in November
You walk out my back door at night and that's all you can hear is pecans cracking all night where they're eating them after they fall out the tree which came early this year since the hurricane hit. I lost 5 trees in the yard and probably half in the orchard. We got hit pretty hard here in santa claus GA.How did he climb the pecan trees? Didn't know deer ate pecans. Acorns, yes; pecans, no!
Just yanking your chain. He is a great buck, and your wife is to be congratulated for tagging him.

Glad the storm is past. It was bad from all that I've gathered.Worst storm I've been through in my 35 yrs alive here. Luckily no house or mancave damage just trees down and my buggy shelter flipped over
Great buck. Based on the looks of the shot I would say that was a DRT!South Ga 8 point out the back yard. View attachment 24895
