220 grain BT for blackout

It's a cool bullet. Not sure what the upper end is for impact velocity but I would think that it would
be fine for 30-06 speeds and below.

That is a wicked cool bullet. I'd bet it'll be pretty neat if it were started around 2400 as well.....
 
I'd be kind of fun to play with in my 308 win. Not sure really what you'd gain, but it'd sure be a good bush whacking bullet.

Wonder why the boat tail though? Clearly BC isn't going to be what you're looking for in a bullet like that.

Concerning the boat tail & high BC: For its intended purpose - shooting subsonic (max MV ~1000-1050 fps) with a suppressor, how else are you going to conserve energy, minimize come-ups & wind drift at 200-300 yards?

Considering 300Blk's intended use is like 100yds and in (Sub-Sonic), I have to agree...why?

BC is very important in sub sonic loads. Many of us shoot out to 300 yards sub sonic. I have been using a 200 grain Speer flat base because it stabilizes easily in a 1-10 bolt gun I have.

This 220 grain will soon become the go to bullet for 300 blackout users.

With a 50 yard zero DOPE for this bullet will be about;

100 +5.5 MOA
150 +13.0
200 +21.0
250 +29.5
300 +38.3

Retained velocity is still similar to a full power 9mm 147 grain at 200-300 yards. About 930 - 960 fps between 200 and 300 yards. BC does matter, surprisingly enough.

Shooting subsonic at 300 yds is about like 1000 using a 308 Winchester. Challenging, but possible.

Doe sanyone have a link to a gelatin shot with this bullet???
