1965 after I got out of the marines I purchased a Belgium made Browning on a Sako action in 243 think I paid alittle over $100 for that rifle. I added mounts leupold 3x9 scope had a hard time explaining to the wife that purchase. I still have that rifle and it fun to look at back.

I was at a gun show today and spotted a Belgium made Browing on a Sako action in 222 all orginal unfired matching serial #'s made 1964 afew dings on the stock from the safe and it followed me home. I think I'll let my wife have that for a varmit rifle pay her back for all the grief she gave me about that 243.

Man, that is great. My uncle has a Sako 222 Rem Mag in a Mannlicher stock and it is a tack driver. He has taken alot of deer with that rifle, not to mention varmints. It is hard to believe the price you paid for that rifle back then. Bet you wished you had gotten a few more! Scotty

What a steal! Super cartridge and a classic rifle. Congratulations. I'm certain she will like it.

Fun to shoot and way overlooked is the old tripple duece. Should be a great rifle. Post pics when you get time. CL
