Hey guy's just thought I would share this with you. I took out my DPMS oracle today and tried a few loads to see how it would do with reloads. This gun has the 16 inch barrel and 1:9 twist rate. All shots were at 100 yards.
The black is 25 grains of Ramshot TAC and a 55 grain V-Max
The red is 25.5 grains of Ramshot TAC and a 55 grain V-Max
The blue is 26 grains of Ramshot TAC and a 55 grain V-Max
The green is 26.5 grains of Ramshot TAC and a 55 grain V-Max
All bullets were seated with an OAL of 2.260.
I am pretty impressed with the 25 grains (4 shot instead of three like the others). Each set of bullets were shot with around 30 seconds between each shot and around 2 minutes between each set. They were also shot off of a caldwell shooting bag up front and a bag in the back. I think if I play with the OAL with the 25 grains of powder then I should be getting just one rugged hole. I am at max for the mag length. Any ideas as to were I should try next?

You seem to have 2 together and one out. Try screwing in the seating plunger 1/4 turn and reshoot. Keep doing this until they come in, it might take several attempts.

I have the LEE dies, I think a 1/4 turn might be to much?

Cogent observation that will likely work wonders for your groups. You are moving in the right direction.

go about .010" deeper each time and try that.

Question: is the 'one out' the first shot of the string?

Ok, I reloaded some more shells and went out and shot again, this time it had a different scope on it due to the other scope being broke at the eye piece. (it would move up and down and move the POI). I have the OAL written on the target next to the group. On the first picture the hole that the arrow is pointing at, I pulled off to the left with it so the group would have been touching.

Then seat at .010" intervals.

Thats what I did, But JD338 was spot on. With these dies it was 1/4 turn for .010". I loaded up some more and went out and re tested some loads with the different OAL and they are above.

No its not, it was the 3rd shot

Well, I guess that shoots down my theory about the manually-chambered round shooting to a different POI than the rounds chambered from firing.

I did however load each shot manually when I was shooting groups.
