240 Bee and 90 gr SGC

Did the AMax (105 gr assuming) not stabilize either Fotis?

I m thinking an 8 or 9 twist Bee sounding more and more lucrative!

Never used them. I do not remember where I got them BUT not a target shooter so I have no use for them.

Not a huge fan of A max on game

The 105 A-Max stabilized fine from my 6mm Rem which has a 1:9 twist factory barrel, from 1974.

I've never hunted with the A-Max though, the 95 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip does everything my son and I want to do with a 6mm. Accurate and lethal. He's taken deer from about 70 yards out to nearly 300 yards with it.

I would suggest experimenting with a flat base bullet. Try the Nosler Partition, and I bet your groups get a lot smaller.

Straight from an older Hornady manual.... before they started loading the Amax in “Law Enforcement” ammo. After that, they had to get PC and get rid of the “excellent for thin skinned game” part of the bullet description. Apparently, it isn’t ok to shoot “hunting” bullets at people.

That being said, I’ve had varying results with the Amax on game.... but everything I’ve seen shot with one went down in a big hurry.

I do not doubt it Jake.... I just had great luck with ballistic tips and accubonds
