Got out yesterday and shot a few loads at 400 yards. Wind was maybe a couple MPH from the left. Temp of 40 degrees. Shot from a bench. 3 shot groups at 400 yards. Loads were 100g NBT's, 60g, 60.5g, 61g of Retumbo, Winchester case and Winchester WLR primer. Think I will stick with 61g for 3540fps and 1 3/4" at 400 yards. Will be an awesome LR coyote and will still do the job for deer.

All 3 loads were fired with no scope changes. Went up 4.1 MOA from a 100 yards zero, 3500fps. Wind was blowing from the left a couple MPH. The loads are marked with a circle for 60g, vertical line for 60.5g, and a horizontal line for 61g.

Nice shooting Remmy.
61.0 grs Retumbo looks like the load.

OH Man, just when I think my sub inch groups at 100yds are reasonable you go and do somthing like that!! Just tell me you are using an inter-planetart telescope and GPS to do it and I'll feel a little better! Seriously, Great shooting!! Must be a great load. CL

Dude, next time I head East I'm dropping my .25-06 off with you!

ive been using my good old IMR 4350 for years and lots of matchking and a few BT's but after seeing that ill be getting some Retumbo man you can shoot that 2506 my hat goes off to you

Thanks guys.

I'm a big 25-06 fan and just thought I would try Retumbo to see what it could do. I've tried just about every other powder out there so I figured what the heck. I am more then impressed. It shoots the 115g VLD just as good, and at 3275fps, which aint to shabby for a 115g pill from a 25-06.

This is my 3rd 25-06. It is an older 700 with a shilen 24" light varmint contour barrel. I use a Leupold vari x 2, 6-18x40 w/target knobs.

Coyotes and deer are in BIG trouble out to 600 yards.

Just loaded up a batch of them 100g NBT's at 3500fps, so will try them on a few unlucky coyotes.

Anyone else got any data with Retumbo yet??

I might try some 115g NBT's with Retumbo. But that probly wont be for a while. I got a few 100g NBT's to shoot up first.

I tried a load from Ken Waters which was 56grs of IMR4831 with a 100gr bullet(I use Nosler PAR or BT). My ruger tang safety M77 tries to put them into one hole at 100yds if I do my part at all. and the speed is 3379 @20' approx with my chrono and my rifle. Really works well on pronghorns.

POP.......What does that load do with your program??? If I may ask?? Thanks

Now if I can only do as well with the no-lead bullets in the future...........

Shoots well and extracts easy. Great on pronghorns but have not been able to use it on anything else yet.
