Well, I have had these in my ammo box for quite awhile, I loaded them over a year ago. I had gotten some excellent results with RL25 in the past for speed and the 115 BTs, just had not continued on with the load work. Matter of fact, my actual powder charge is not known, since I wrote the COAL on the cartridges but not the powder charge, pretty sure it's around 59-60 though..

3.230

3.240

I also shot 3.250 which was just about like the shorter 3.230"..

Speed was excellent though, very impressed with RL25 May try the same load with some RL26.. Might be a one and done sorta load.

I did shoot some of my proven 115 Partition loads. Not overly fast but they are accurate..

I've got some enduron 7977 which seems to be a virtual ballistic twin to rl 25. Kind of anxious to give it a go and my 25 06 and also my 270 win..... seems like people are reporting some really phenomenally good ES with this new powder.
Glad to see that somebody else messes up with their reloading labels once in a while ...I've done the same thing...lol!

The good thing is I know I have it written down in my load book, but I don't have it here in NC with me this weekend. I keep that book on the bench as it's my "Grail" of loads..

I do think 7977 should be excellent with the heavy bullets in both those two cartridges and I am excited to see what you come up with. I am still slugging away with 7828SSC, but I could be tempted to use some 7977 as well if some good stuff was to show up. Can't wait to see your results when you start.

I'm afraid it'll be awhile with the 2506 etc. I've got a whole crap load of stuff loaded up for a 30 odd 6 I want to work with and a buddy's 30 odd 6. But I am playing with enduron 4451, Superformance, and the new Hornady eld x bullets. Unfortunately snow and my schedule up here in Wisconsin are not cooperating...lol!

I hear you. Had a nice cool, overcast day yesterday. Was good to burn some gun powder..

Scotty,

That is a great load. You are ready to go slay some speed goats!

Thanks Jim. This Model 70 has been very accurate with a number of bullets. I am really trying to put the work in with the 100 ET's. Wanna see what sorta fast combo I can come up with. I am touching 3300 right now pretty easily, but I believe there is more to be had.

Since I don't have alot of RL25 left, I'd like to find the same speed with RL26 since I have the seating depth worked out and see if I can duplicate it. I know Guy Miner would approve..

Well, you have some excellent loads available to play with. That is the stuff that leads to boasting. Good show, Scotty.

Scotty,

3300 + fps will send the 115 gr BT as flat as a chalk line.
