i just want to know what powder people are using in this caliber. the only powder i have ever used is imr 4350, and it does pretty good. i just want to try something else to improve my grouping. any suggestions?????

I've had luck with IMR 4831,51-52grs.,and the 115 BT. It always shot sub 1" groups at 100yds.

I am on my second barrel on my 25-06. I experiment a lot and have tried most every suitable powder in this caliber.

I have settled on IMR 4831 for bullets from 75 to 100 grains and IMR 7828 for bullets over 100 grains, that simple.

I use Fed 210 or WLR primers with the IMR 4831 and nothing but Federal 215M primers with the IMR 7828.

RL 22 gave pretty darned good results as well, but these two IMR powders just stood out from the crowd in both the barrels I have owned.

The 25-06 is lots of fun. I have shot everything from ground squirrels, prairie dogs, rock chucks, jack rabbits, coyotes, bobcats, deer, antelope, wild hogs, etc. with this caliber and it just kills them dead.

All my loads use H4831SC or RL-22.

I have used everything from 4350 series to RL 25. All worked great!
