I have my grandfathers built in 1958 Husqvarna 3000 he had it rechambered to 270 Wby in the 1960's he gave it to my dad when I was a teen in the late 60's - early 70's I shot my first several deer and moose with this rifle.
My grandfather for some reason decided one day he wanted it back he gave me 4 rifles in its place then just months before he died at 94 years of age he gave it back to me.
It then sat in the safe for years until a couple years ago I pulled it out I figured like me born in 1959 I don't wear old wool type clothes anymore wear modern Goretex - quick dry - polar fleece now it got me to thinking that it was time to redress this old girl to.
I bought a black McMillan Sako Hunter palm swell stock had it Cerakoted OD green - had the barrel/action Cerakoted satin black installed Leupold rings and bases and a new VX2 4-12x40mm LR reticle scope.
I loaded an extremely accurate 140gr TSX load at 3200fps issue is I am now running low on these bullets and looking thru my reloading bench I see I have appr 500 110gr Accubonds for my 6.8SPC rifles got me to thinking maybe I can use these in my old 270 Wby.
I see Nosler has load data listed but what I'm looking for is real life hunting experiences with this bullet in a 270 Wby this load will only be used for deer hunting and the occasional coyote that pops its head out where it shouldn't.
Thanks for any thoughts...
