270 weaver

I have heard of weaver before but didnt really pay any attension to it. But is the 270 weaver faster and stronger than the normal 270 win? Because I can get a 270 weaver for my brother for about 425 dollars. I was also wondering if you have any loads for them? thanks

You can probably get a 270WSM for that price and ammo is readily available. Just a thought.

I agree with your line of thinking. I can not see a wildcat based on the 270 Win case better the 270 WSM.

I thought I was familiar with most wildcat cartridges, but I have never heard of a .270 Weaver. Could it be a normal .270 Winchester with a Weaver scope? That, I have heard of! If it is a wildcat, could someone enlighten me as to what it is?

I`d ask my B.I.L. what he uses for ammo, since he is the guns owner.

If it is a wildcat you will need to at least know the parent case before you can start, and if it is a factory rd (Winchester, WSM, Weatherby) brass and data is available most everywhere.
