I keep looking at this bullets as a good backup to the 140 AccuBond for the 270 Win, anyone use this combo and care to show me to tell how it does! getting low on the 140 AB's and these have been fairly plentiful. thanks

Last summer I met a hunter who used the 150gn Partition with his 270 Win for all the game he hunted on Kodiak Island. I don't remember how long he was on the island, but I think it was around 20 years.

I'd be very happy with a 140 PT in a 270 Win. Tons of big games been taken with the 130 and 150 PTs, the 140 might sit right in the sweet spot.

The 140 gr PT would be an excellent choice in the 270.

I would have no difficulty using a 140 grain Partition in the .270 Win. In fact, if I was shooting a .270 Win, it might well be my bullet and weight of choice. In at least one of my .280s, 139/140 grain bullets have been my choice for bullet for many years. That particular weight of bullet has accounted for many head of game with that particular rifle.

Just built load for the 140NP in 270 Win and it was real easy load to build up with RL23.

With Fed210 primers in Nosler brass I started at 54 gr and ended up at 57grains with velocity 2950+/-

I quit there because was scary accurate but can see 3,000fps being attainable, WAG???

There is no load data other than Noslers for this combo but think you will see max pressure at real close to 59 gr +/- With RL23

That 140 around 2950-3000 should be a great killer. Just hard to beat a 270 in my opinion. Usually pretty easy on the shooter.

I always felt like this would be a great all-around load for a .270 WCF. Just like the 165 grain Partition in a .30-06 you are getting very respectable speed even in a 22" barrel and more than enough penetration for anything in this hemisphere.

That being said, I have owned 3 different .270 caliber rifles over the years and never got around to trying it. I did try and was very pleased with the 140 grain AccuBond though!
