280 Rem AI

I currently have a 280 Rem and have been thinking of having it rebarreled to 280 Rem AI with a Hart 24" barrel.

Is anyone currently shooting or thinking of getting a 280 Rem AI?
Any suggestions of twist rate for 140 gr-160 gr AB bullets. I will use this rifle for deer and antelope.

Our ballistics Guru suggests 1-9" twist barrel for your 280 AI. That twist should stabilize 140gr-160gr AB bullets for you 280 Ackley Improved.

I am taking to the gunsmith next week to get it started. I am having the 700 action blueprinted and fitted with a Hart 24" #5 flutted barrel.

My expectation is to shoot the 160 gr AB @ 3000fps for a flat shooter out to 600 yds+.
