.284 160gr Accubond and the 7mm WSM

Anyone kill anything with this setup or with the bullet in question? Thinking about poking a brown or black bear with one here in next couple of weeks.

Kills elk and moose great. That I can tell you.

It will indeed kill elk and moose, and any deer the round is used on. I have no hesitation using the load on a black bear. I don't doubt that it would work on grizzly, though I prefer more mass and greater frontal area just because of the potential for things going awry.

That is what I run in my 7WSM as well. Not sure I would run the 7 for big bears, but I could think of worse rifles for sure.

Whats your load for your 7?

I run the 7mm 160 gr AB in my 280 AI at 3000 fps and it hammers WT deer.
Its one tough bullet.

akhunter if you get a black or brown bear we would love to see pictures, must have pictures! A picture of a recovered AccuBond is also a must. I know, a demanding lot!
