Well got the new 284 last week and had a fishing trip planned so didn't get to play with the rifle till this week. I broke the barrel in on Monday and chrono yesterday was about what I figured. 3048fps with 160gr AccuBond and that was alittle better than what was in this article
http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek095.html. I'd started with his data using R-17 I did use a 27" lonng barrel and my OAL was 3.050" so things worked out. I stopped at 53gr/R-17 I'd also had some H-4350 ready to go but didn't try that.

Congratulations on the 284 Win. That is a impressive velocity for the 160 gr AB, 7mm Rem Mag performance.

That is a great cartridge. Congratulations. I'm certain it will be fun working up loads for it. That is some impressive velocity. I'll be interested in accuracy.

Nice that is about 100 fps quicker than I have been able to get my 7mmRM going with 160 grain pills. Nice. Look foward to seeing pics.
