Started to buy some seconds 7mm Partitions, but shipping was almost as much as a box of bullets. Don't want to buy in bulk until I see how they shoot out of my gun. Oh well....

Their shipping is high. I can say that I have always had excellent accuracy with Nosler 2nds in partitions, accubonds and ballistic tips. I just figured if I was going to buy just one bag the cost with shipping is about the same as buying a box of 1st out of a store. But anymore I usually buy at least 4 bags at a time.

1 bag w/ 7.95 shipping may be cost prohibitive BUT, if you were to buy
5-10 bags, its a great deal.
Be rest assured, the seconds are just as accurate as factory first.
In fact, all I shoot are seconds. My 22-250, 257 Roberts, 280 Rem, 280 AI, 35 Whelen, and 338 RUM are fed seconds. All but the 35 Whelen shoot UNDER .5" with seconds. The Whelen is just under 1 inch and the 280AI shoots the 160 gr AB into .2's!
I have taken WT Deer, Mule deer, Black Bear, Elk and Caribou with factory seconds.
Maybe you can check with a few buddies, they may want a couple bags of seconds and could split the shipping cost.
Also, Kyle, John and Shwan at Shooters Pro Shop are first class gentlemen.
They will take good care of you.

If you are concerned about the accuracy, go for some Accubonds. 99% of people who try them rave about their accuracy and performance. In my .270WSM, the 140 gr AccuBond is the most accurate bullet I have used. And the shipping at Shooter's Pro Shop is a bargain. If you don't believe me, try buying 3 or 4 boxes of bullets from Midway or anyone else on line, and compare their shipping cost to the flat $7.95 at SPS, and you will see just what a bargain it is. And as others have said, I have seen no difference in the performance between the "seconds" and the firsts. A friend and his wife just took over 20 head of game in Namibia, and all were taken with Noslers, and unless I am mistaken, were the "seconds" from Shooter's Pro Shop.
Also, with the prices of copper and lead climbing dramatically, it would be a good idea to grab a bunch of bullets now to beat the inevitable price increases.

Okay, so I'm now looking at these, but I be durn if they don't have any AccuBond in the 140's. I'm shooting a 7mm-08, and was wondering if the heavier bullets would perform just as well. Let me know if anybody here is shooting heavier in their 7-08..... :?

Give the guys at SPS a call and find out the timing of the 140 gr AB's.
You might also want to pick up a bag of the 140 gr BT's.
You could also try a bag of the 160 gr AB's. They will open up on WT deer.

I have some news for you guys. The shipping charges have just changed at the Shooter's Pro Shop. It is now based on UPS charges. It still isn't too bad, but I might be a little bias. The factory second bullets do shoot straight. There are no internal flaws with the bullets, it is just cosmetic blemishes or over runs for ammunition manufacturers.

i have a few spare partitions, if you just want to test one weight i might have it on the shelf. i could drop a few in the mail n/c. no this offer is not open to all readers of this post
