Of course part of my decision to not buy it was based on having a .300 WSM Model 70 that I almost never use...

Sheesh!

Good thing I never let that bother me!

He took the time and effort to rechamber to an Ackley, then threw it in a RamLine?

A freakin RamLine?

LOL I guess so! I guess that would mean would would need another purple McSwirly!

That's a heck of a find at that price. For my tastes, the Mauser 98 action is the only one that comes close to the CRF Model 70s. If they came with the same safety as the M70 I don't know which would be my favorite. I like the 77 Mk.IIs for the same features.

My Dads rifle is a (Herters) Interarms Mauser. To say I have a soft spot is an understatement. Does a guy need another rifle......Yeah, that is a tough one. but nothing wrong with liking the look of the 300.

Maybe, but I've kind of taken a shine to the various McMillan camo patterns lately. Though I could go with black/white/purple camo...

Kurt,

I'm mightily impressed by the progress you're making. :p It just warms the cockles of my heart to see your effort. Wonder when it will pay any dividends?

Maybe, Doc. I'll probably end up with a couple of .44 Specials and a .45 Colt (NOT Long Colt!).

That price for a Mark X Interarms Mauser action, .330 Win Mag is certainly a good price. Too bad the original wooden stock was replaced by a Ram Line. Plus, the Bushnell does nothing for me unless you have a rimfire that needs a scope. These can be fixed easily enough.

I have had a 7mm Rem Mag. Interarms (Browning Highpower clone) Mark X barreled action which I have used since about 1973. It was my second 7mm Rem Mag rifle. Mine is fully customized with Jewell trigger and Gentry Model 70 type safety with English walnut stock. The wood is very figured and very pretty, so I have hung unto the rifle but it also still shoot sub-MOA to 300 yards with 160 Nosler Partitions for all of these years. No complaints after years of good service.

I hope that yours is as accurate as mine is.

OT-3 has my Belgian Made Mark X rifle. Not a thing wrong with them at all. Very smooth and with a good trigger a fine choice. I would however upgrade the stock.
