7mm MSM was it?

Oh yeah. Love that 7 Bill. Makes these big 300's seem meaningless. It's like a 300 Wby with less recoil.

From what I've seen on here Scotty how could you not love it? I'll bet that 160 is moving right along, 3200 ish I'm guessing?

Oh yeah. 3200 with the 160 and 3050 with 175's. Does a lot of stuff well.

Those are 7mm STW speeds. I'm sure it does and long range shooting would be one of them. How far you rang it would too? I can see why the 300's seem meaningless.

[quote How do you think they will hold up close range?quote]

From what I've seen, not well. For that reason alone is why I run the AccuBond as it works up close or way out there, either way you're covered.

With real world testing putting the 210 ABLR @ .610 BC and the regular AB being .588 BC I question the purchase of the ABLR's

I agree 100%. Not sure what your intended use of the ABLR bullet is be it for paper or hunting or ranges you intend to shoot. I use my Rum and 200 AB for elk hunting and practice for fun out to 950 yards. I don't want to be wondering IF the bullet will hold up on a close range shot at an elk, I hunt way to hard for that to even be a consideration of thought. Just my .02

I'm getting 3200 with a 200 AccuBond and less than 1/2 moa at 200 yrds, 3 shot group.

Your uses and mine are the same. I play on steel out to 1000 but the real intent, and purpose for playing on steel is for hunting.

Most hunting for this gun would be exotics, mule deer or elk but for me to get to use the rifle much it is going to kill some whitetail and hogs also.

I would just grab some 200 AB and rock on.

Well the ABLR's were already in hand so I may as well see what they do.

HSM Brass, trimmed, flash hole deburred, neck turned & sorted by weight.
F215 primers
Retunbo

Loaded 4ea 3 shot loads at med charge to determine OAL

Then loaded 4 more loads in .5g increments to narrow in on a preferred charge.

To say results were disappointing would be an understatement!

I have both 7828SC & H1000 I can try, just trying to decide which

One of the guys I elk hunt with uses H-1000 in his 300 Rum with excellent results. His rifle did not like Retumbo at all. Maybe your rifle prefers H-1000?

Maybe, load 210 Berger VLD's over H1000 for a friends rifle and it dang sure shoots.

Once dialed in those Bergers sure do shoot. Loaded some target hybrids for my 264 and the accuracy is impressive to say the least. Had some 215 target hybrids for my 300 Rum that I never tried, just can't seem to step away from the 200 AB.

If I give up on the ABLR I will go to 200 AB. I know my gun will shoots Bergers because it will stack the HSM 210 VLD factory loads in a ragged hole. I prefer the AccuBond bullet though

For tough stuff like elk, the 200 AB is a hard to top sorta pill.
