Can 300 Sav cases be made by running a 308 Win case thru a 300 Savage die and then trimming down to proper length? Or is it better to sue another case?

Try trading it with someone. Quality .308 brass is usually in demand. If they don't have .300 sav brass, they should trade something else useful for you. If I was still shooting .308 I'd trade you.Jimbeaux82":1x1i1h00 said:Yes - probably best to get the right headstamped brass, just have a bunch of 308 brass and no 308 rifle at the moment.
Whenever I do use a different headstamped brass by reforming, I try to use nickle cases so that it stands out as something different and not normally something I reload.
