So I just saw a great multi-year post over in the hunting section regarding the 338 Win Mag. It had a lot of great stuff in it from early 2013 from some of the usual suspects here on the forum as they tweaked their loads and tried or recommended different combinations that had worked well in the past. Just about everything under the sun was mentioned from 270gr Speers to every flavor of AccuBond or Partition ever made and many great tales about tough hunts and close calls were told. It seems we’ve got a wealth of knowledge and experience with the 338 caliber here, but I’ve never seen anyone mention the 225 E-tip here on the forum yet. Is it just because it’s too new? I know the 200gr E-tip worked pretty well for some folks and seemed to do pretty well in the jug tests so wouldn’t the 225gr variant be just a little bit more of an already great thing?
