Well, last weekend I was finally able to get the new McMillan put on my Pre 64 Alaskan. I used Marine Tex in order to do the bedding. Sorry for the crappy pictures, it has been raining around here (finally).

Love the stock, Marine Tex works REALLY well, easy to use and seems to lay down very nicely. Need to detail clean the metal, but overall, I am very happy. Bedded the receiver and a few inches in front of the barrel.

Hoping to get out today if the weather holds to put a couple of shots through it to see how it works.

Looks very good, Scotty. Looking forward to your range report following the stock work.

I am glad that you brought that old girl into the 21'st century, now I won't have to listen to the hair dryer going every night. I hope you can get it to shoot !!!!!!!!

Me too Bill. I am looking forward to getting out and shooting it some. Should be good and I know you would approve of the upgrade. Cuts a little of the weight from it as well. Not much, but a little..

That looks all business.... Very nice.

I could see a McMillan on my .375 someday... Hunting here in the Pacific Northwest...

Thank you. Hoping to get it out today to see how it is hitting.

Looking real good Scotty!..Looking forward to the range report buddy,

Lou

Alright, I slung up and shot the 338 prone at 250. Seems like it still groups decent.

Scotty looks like you have a winner there for sure, looks and shoots great.

That shooting really doesn't do the package justice. I am not sure I can shoot much better than that using a sling for support. I'd imagine if I locked it into a bench, it'd be better, but I have sworn off benches till after hunting season.. I can never find the right one while I am hunting, so I figure I might as well shoot without them.

Sorry Buddy I thought the hole looked like it was just bedding compound, you do such nice work it was hard for me to tell.

Great shooting Scotty and great work on the stock work as it does look mighty fine! I was just curious what is its barrel length ? In the first picture it looks like it's a 32 " barrel and what I guess it is maybe the stock is a tad shorter than factory stock? That is a pretty stock and worth the wait for sure!

McMillan is still one of the very best stocks, bet it won't be your last :) Congrats.
