.338 wm 225 gr etip

Anyone have experience loading this bullet in .338 wm? Iv searched all over the internet and on this site and haven't been able to find anything.

With a b.c of .611 this should be the ideal mono bullet for a .338 wm, if it can be driven to 2650-2700 it should be above 2000 fps at 500 yards. Lots of info on the 200gr etip but I don't see a point in using it when the 225 has it beat in every category including down range expansion ability. The 210 and 225 gr ttsx fall way behind as well.

This should get you plenty of velocity.

Thanks for that info, that's great information. I'm not really wanting to hot rod my rifle though im mostly looking for the most accuracy and brass life. I probably would never take a 500 yard shot and 2650 seems to put it right around 2000 fps at that range.

I'm a little Leary of the BC numbers it almost seems too good to be true,. If it is accurate I will definitely be stocking up on these. Appreciate you doing the quickload.

I will probably start with imr 4350 and a also have rl 22 on hand. It will probably not be untill this spring that I get to it, I'm a long haul trucker so I haven't been getting home much. Definitely hoping to have a good load worked up before fall. Right now I'm pretty stocked up on 210 NPs with 74 gr of imr 4350 and 225 gr sst with 72 gr of 4350 200 gr nosler ballistic tips with 74 gr of 4350 all around one inch. Seems like of all the powders IV tried the imr 4350 has been the most consistent.

I'd like to be able to work up a load using 4350 for the 225 gr etip and the 140 gr etip for 7mm rm using the same powder and if I can also make that work for the 257 Roberts with the 100 gr etip and the 30-338 and the 150 etip I'll be living in a perfect world and just buy an 8lb jug and be set.
