I have to tell you, after reading all this info on the .340 Weatherby I'm giving some very serious thought to buying one. No, wait a minute I don't have to, I have a .338RUM which the Weatherby is still trying to catch up to. (had to frost a few on that one guys, no hard feelings) Right Jim.

I'm not sure how a cartridge designed in 1963 is trying to "catch up" to one designed in 2000. That's like a 1963 Corvette trying to catch up to a 2000 Corvette - the new one is faster, but we all know which one is sexier.
