I am wondering how the 180 handgun Partition bullet would perform in a 35 Remington pistol (both 12" and 16" barrels). Too much velocity for this bullet?

What velocities are velocities are you trying to achieve? We have the .357" 180 Partition HG bullet in Nosler #5 up to 1500 fps for the .357 Remington Maximum. So I would try to match those velocities at the point of impact. However I believe your 35 Remington calls for a .358" diameter bullet so your accuracy may suffer.

It will work just fine. If you check the Nosler Reloading Guide - fifth edition, you will see that there are loads for the 358 Winchester, 35 Whelen and the 350 Remington Magnum using the 180 gr Partition-HG. 8)
