35 whelen 225 gr accubond

I can't seem to get any accuracy out of them with my usual powder RL 15 does any one have a suggestion for a powder that will come close to getting the 2650 - 2700 fps that RL 15 will get? Ramshot Big Game looks good to me and I have a can, has anyone worked with it?

Welcome to the Nosler forum.
I am currently using 58.0 grs of RL15 with the 225 gr AB in my
35 Whelen 700 classic and getting sub MOA accuracy. My COl is 3.414".

I have also had excellent accuracy with MAX loads of IMR4064 and AA2015 and the 225 gr PT's.

Try different COL's with RL15 until you find the sweet spot for your rifle.
Remember to start low and work up.

Hello.

If I can get 225 Accubonds, doing 2700+ fps to shoot well. Then I know what's my hunting load from now on. The Nosler ballistics room claim 2789 fps with RL-15 for that bullet, but only 2715 fps with 180 Partition HG.
Are the loads mixed up or what? It doesnt seem like that from the powders used either.

Has anyone tried this bullet with Norma or Vihtavuoripowders?

The 357 HG 180gr most likely has a longer bering surface than the AccuBond dose and so more friction, but thats just a thought.
