35 Whelen question

I picked a Rem 700 BDL in 35 Whelen here on this forum. It was a local deal. Nice rifle. I have added a B&C medalist stock and will coat the rifle this summer. Adding a Leupy 2.5-8x36 scope and I will have a great PNW rifle. Elk, bear & the opossum watch out.

With this, a Rem 673 in 350 RM, a 300 WSM...I just wonder why I have a 338 WM sitting in the safe. The 338 just never gets shot. Someday soon, I think it will be headed down the highway.

Why are the 35 cal. 225 Accubonds somewhat hard to find?

I agree with you buddy. I have a 338WM as well, and to be honest, if the 338WM didn't have so much history with it, I would change it out to something else pretty fast. It still might become something else down the road, but for now it is safe.

No idea why the 225 AB's are so hard to find. Maybe cause they only run the bigguns a few times a year and they have had more than average sales of them, causing them to run low. Since have good loads for both the 225 AB and 250 PT, I only need about 50 a year, or less.. I can sub the Sierra 225 for AB's and the Speer 250 for the PT for practice.

We are in another election year. Watch the components trickle to a stop, again! This coupled with a working capital crunch on smaller companies (i.e. components) through their financial/lending institutions (i.e. B of A). It could be a tough year. I certainly hope that I am wrong but bought ahead anyway.
