Just wanted to post some results from this blacktail season using this bullet. My hand loaded 225 SGK out of my ruger Hawkeye in .358 Winchester is pushing about 2600fps at the muzzle. I shot my buck strongly quartering to me at about 100 yards. I hit him in the front shoulder and the bullet traveled the length of the deer and stopped under the hide on the opposite side of rear hind quarter after going through the hip. When I found the bullet there and in tact I was very impressed. Sorry I didn’t take pictures of the internal damage but it wasn’t really explosive. Just plowed a nice hole clean through and crushed the buck in his tracks. Very impressed with the performance of this bullet. I have now taken two bucks and a black bear with this bullet and this is the only one I have managed to catch. I’m starting to think it’s an elk bullet!
