Well, my 375 Weatherby is finished and is being shipped today and I should receive it Thrusday or Friday. Here are the specs and a picture of the reticle along with a picture of the rifle from my gun smith.

It is a Mark V receiver with a 25” #3 Shilen barrel with a Banzer brake to match my 300Wby and freefloated, tuned trigger, B&C Metalist Stock, Talley bases and rings, Zeiss Conquest Rapid-Z 3-9x40mm

Next week is shooting time :):):) Will be working with 300gr TSX and 93grs H4831sc as the main effort because of my gun smiths recommendations because he has one also H4350 and IMR4350 will be tried.

Thank you JD338, I am getting excited also about the range report. Like always the range work is work but it sure is fun work. Sometimes it comes quick and sometimes it will take some time, but what a way to spend time.

bullet,

Are you going to ff 375 H&H brass?

Bullet, real nice rifle. Love the stock.

Thanks russ, I liked it also and it was really different so I chose it. I can not lay in down or against a pine tree down here because if blends in so well. When I get it I will show you some pictures of how it blends in to the surroundings.

JD338, I have purchased some Weatherby brass from Midway in .375Wby Mag.

I think it is cool also and the 375Wby was Roy Weatherby's version of the .375 AI. Gives me a 150 to 200fps extra over an 375 H&H depending on bullet choice, but no less than an H&H when in a pinch and that is comforting when having to go into a local gun shop for ammo and can buy 375 H&H ammo. And every one knows a 375 H&H is very capable and hard hitting round.

thank you for the compliment and yes I hope if weather does not get bad to shoot the first of next week and will post initial velocities, loads and accuracy.

Bullet, guess your going to have to tie a bright orange trail marker on it so you don't loose it in the bush. Good thing the barrel is cammo.

Thanks GB300wm, POP, Cloverleaf, Greg Nolan and yes russ808 I do need to make sure in the bush I remember where I lay it down.

Went to the range this morning early and fired only nine rounds because after setup that is all the time I had before having to go to work. Average for the nine rounds was 2744fps with deviation only at 13 using a 300gr TSX in front of 93grs H4831sc and average group size was 1.364" which is shown in this target picture.

Need to shoot at least 20-30 more rounds before I get real serious on group size. Will be adjusting powder charge and seating depth to find that sweet place as I am shooting the next 30 rounds or so. There were not any pressure signs at all with my brass and extraction was very easy and this was about 97-98% capacity in my case.

..................................Your groups will tighten up!!.......Better tie a "yellow ribbon" around that thing so you don`t lose it in the brush!!!???    ...................You can sing right along with Tony Orlando too!!..........

That is to funny Big Squeeze. Yeah, I know it will tighten up. Could hunt with it right now but you know me got to get the load at least under and inch at 100yds. :) Sure wish I could find some 300gr Nosler Accubonds to try.
