Hi guys,
I just purchased a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. I'm going to be using a Hornady 350gr. round nose, IMR 3130, Winchester brass and CCI primers. The only reason why I'm using the Hornady bullet is because here in Quebec, it would take like 4 to 6 months to get the 300 Partition or the 300 combined technologie round nose that I initially wanted, that's if I can get it at all. Anywho, the main question I have is how important is OCL on the 45-70 or do I just crimp at the canular and I'm good to go?
Thanks in advance
Mike
