I just bought some 185 gr 45 cal bullets and when I got home I found out that thay did not have a spot for crimping thay are JHP
My ? is can I still crimp them thay are for a 45colt .
They need a taper crimp. You`ll bulge the case behind the crimp trying to put a good roll crimp on them with out a groove, and this could prevent chambering. The bullet was designed for the 45 ACP and are .451" You may find they aren`t as accurate as the .452-.454" bullets that your colt calls for.
