Well I have checked with all the stores I am familiar with that sell on-line in western Canada and none of them have the 500 grain .458 Partitions. Any of you Canadians know of a store that has them in stock? Gets pretty steamy by the time you pay for shipping due to weight, but not many options out there.

Any sort of .458 bullets for cartridges with more poop than the .45-70 are hard to find at the best of times. I am even having trouble finding regular old 500 grain Hornady soft points to use for fire-forming cases and softening up the shoulder.

Thanks.

I haven't been in for a while, but you might check with some of the smaller firms that handle reloading supplies. Corlane Sporting Goods here in Dawson Creek has carried such bullets, as well as Woodleigh, in the past. Bartons in Grande Prairie often has such supplies with a decent turnover.

I am pretty sure I have a couple of boxes of .458 ammo here in the shop and I think it is Winchester White box stuff from memory ................... could probably sell it to you alot more reasonable than what your used to paying but not sure about the "Canada part????" might want to PM me.................

Dr. Mike thanks I will check with those places and see what they have.

35 Whelen...... I am shooting a .450 Ackley Improved. Although I can actually shoot .458 Winchester ammo in it safely enough, the fire-formed cases end up being too short and I usually roll my own any ways. I think the DHS and several other US departments don't like you guys doing us any favors. I will drop you a PM.
