just wondering if it would be worth cutting down 30/06 cases to make 7mm-08 rem,, if so whats the proccess in doing so ???

thats kinda what i was thinking, i was more courrious than anything  all tho i do have a lot of 30/06 cases layin around

I would get proper head stamped cases. They don't cost that much and it will save you time as well as knowing that the internal design and dimensions are to spec.

  now thats right to the point,,,, im not gonna do it ,, in fact i just went down and bought 50 wins. for the 7mm-08

Good for you. What are you loading them with?

Might as well build a 6.5-06 or 6mm-06 to go with all of those 30-06 cases! Pretty hard to find properly headstamped cases in those so it would be a good use for them! Scotty

No,I wouldn't do it cause that is a lot of work. 30-06 are common to find and so are 7mm-08. I have a 7mm Mauser war rifle and cases are hard to find. So far I found 3 places that have some. I bought 50 rounds and am planning on buying 100 more.

7mm's forever and a 30 cal. will "Slam Dunk Um"

not sure yet,, i got some rl-19 , rl-17, h4350, and some imr 4350 and some 4016 these powders were mainly used in the 30/06 and 270wsm ,, i did pick up some 140gr sierra gamekings in 7mm but thats all the shop had,, i think in gonna give the rl=19 a go and see what happens cause it didnt work to well in the ought6

if 7-08 brass were for some reason un-available, you'd be better off making it out of 308win.
