7mm-08 range day 160 gr Accubond

Turns out my Savage model 16 Weather Warrior likes a 160 gr AccuBond with Reloader 17 best. It wouldn’t shoot a 120 or 140 gr bullets no matter what I tried.

That's a pretty good group. What was the charge weight?

I’m using 44.5 gr charge. I used the Reloader 17 data out of my Hornady manual. Haven’t checked MV yet. I’m really interested in seeing how fast it’s leaving the barrel.

Good job. Thanks for posting the info. I recently purchased a Savage 7mm-08 but I haven't had much chance to figure out what will work in it. I've got some lighter stuff loaded up but will be trying something heavier now.

Nice! Mine likes them with IMR 4350, but the velocity is a bit uninspiring at 2510 or so. What OAL are you using?

The ogive measurement is 2.316, they’re .030 off the lands.
