Hi Everyone!
I'm new to the site and reloading. I'm looking for recommendations for anyone reloading with 7mm 150gr Nosler BT. I'm specifically looking for powder and primer rec. for for this bullet to be used with 7mm mauser and 7mm rem. mag. Any info would be helpful.
Mike

Cant speak for the mauser, but for the 7 mag, use any mag primer, primarily the Fed 215M. And use either RL 19-22, IMR4350-4831, or try H-1000. My vote personally is Hodgon-1000. It is temperture stable and will not give you big velocity spreads over summer/winter. RL powders and IMR powders are notorious for giving lower speeds in winter, and higher speeds in summer. Sometimes they dont shoot as well either, so your left scratching your head as to why it shot .5 in the summer, and 1.5 in the winter. Its all the powder. I use to use RL and IMR powders exclusively, but once I learned about Hodgons extreme powders that will usually stay within 30fps, whether it be -10 or 100 degrees, I dont use anythign but Hodgon. Except for varmint calibers I still Use IMR-4064 for my swift and IMR-4198 for my 222. I'll be workign up a load this weekend for my dads tikka in 7 mag. I'll be trying Rl-19-22, and H-1000. Im sure I'll post my results.

Hi Mike,

My Sako 7MM Rem Mag dwells on the following load that I got from the latest Nosler manual:

Powder: IMR 4350

Charge: 63 Grains

Primer: Federal Magnum

Bullet: 150 Grain BT

Velocity: 3220 FPS

Accuracy: Sub MOA (I can cover three shots with a dime. )

Results: Rocky Mountain Mule Deer hate 'em!
